Historically much of the intelligence in programmatic advertising has lived on the buy side. But as publishers build richer first-party data strategies, commerce data becomes more central to media planning, and agencies develop proprietary audience and optimization capabilities, the industry is reconsidering where and when the most important advertising decisions should be made.
This panel brings together perspectives from dentsu, CMX (CVS Media Exchange), and Roku to explore what happens when data and decisioning move closer to media. The conversation will examine how supply-side decisioning can help buyers evaluate opportunities with richer signals, give publishers greater control over how their audiences and inventory are valued, and create new ways for commerce and audience intelligence to inform activation. The panel will also tackle the bigger question: as AI accelerates programmatic decision-making, how should the roles of buyers, sellers, and technology platforms evolve?
