Anthony DiMieri is an award-winning filmmaker specializing in dark comedy, political satire, and all things absurdist. While working in traditional advertising at an early age (JWT, Digitas, 72andSunny, Havas), Anthony simultaneously spent many years developing a voice in independent film and comedy, producing a viral digital sitcom and a decade’s worth of screenwriting and sketch comedy projects. More recently he’s honed his voice in short-form media while directing hundreds of episodes of Subway Takes and Keep the Meter Running, and most notably helping to elect New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani as a founding member of his campaign video team. Beyond, Anthony has most recently founded Luce Nera Pictures (Italian for “Blacklight”) in 2023, a new film studio focused on supporting the next generation of independent filmmakers and producing cutting-edge, short-form branded content. To this day his work has accumulated over a billion views across social platforms.
